I’m back in Spain to attend the Alumni Reunion/ Congress of the Master Guitar Alicante. This time, I will be excited to premiere a piece I commissioned, called Triptico, written by Japanese composer Shingo Fujii.

I’m thrilled to be invited to play in this Japan Festival for the first time! I will be performing Japanese folk songs Sakura Variations and Furusato, as well as two of the movements from a piece I commissioned called Triptico by Shingo Fujii. This will be a soft premiere.
Music of the Americas. Music by York, Joplin, Abreu, Almeida, and traditional Mexican songs.
I will be playing Andrew York’s Sunburst and Adam Schumaker’s Praiso song for Oceania with counter-tenor Thomas Alaan.
I am excited to premiere this four movement song cycle commissioned by Thomas Alaan, written by Adam Schumaker for classical guitar and counter-tenor. The words are taken from Craig Santos Perez’s poem called Song for Oceania.
This is a production of Jane Austen’s “Persuasion” by Chamber Opera Chicago. I will be playing several numbers on the classical guitar. It will be a fun show!
I will be flying to Austin, TX to record a piece commissioned by Ex-Aequo, for their “Changing the Canon” visual album. It will be an intense few days of audio and video recordings.

I’m so honored to be invited to perform in this new concert series showcasing alumni members of Harper College! I’ll be continuing with my Spanish and Latin American theme. Works by Albeniz, Tarrega, Llobet, Torroba, Rodrigo, Lauro, Brouwer, Pernambuco, and Barrios.
These baby-friendly concerts are designed to encourage parents and caretakers to take a break in their day to share the joy of music with their babies and young children. Early Childhood Program Coordinator, Melissa Padgett, will guide audience members through the program with activities interacting with the music. Families are encouraged to relax, nurse, dance, cry. Whatever the music and mood moves you to do!
$15 per family
This Showcase features classical guitarists in the Chicago area.
Journey across scenic Andalusia, Catalonia and the Castles of Spain to the Latin American countries including Paraguay, Venezuela and Cuba.
